What do you love about coaching students?

I love watching players mature, problem solve, and make friendships with classmates they never realized share a common interest of basketball. In addition to students, I also love watching families come together to ensure our players have what they need, where they need to be, and support them on and off the court. 

What is a challenge you have overcome?

It's no secret that my adolescence wasn't ideal, however, it truly helped shape me into the person I am today. The biggest challenge that I have had to overcome is my mental health, and realizing that you do not have to live everyday in survival mode, and to allow myself to accept that we all make mistakes in life.  How I have chosen to persevere through is the most beautiful life lesson that truly speaks the most volumes when building secure connections with these students.
